A redo. These palm petioles or leaf sheath covers were found in a beach town on the west coast. I had originally made an accordion book with them a few years back, but was never happy with the final result. This time I Coptic bound these covers with six signatures dyed a beautiful yellow. And each signature cover has a strip of momagami paper adding texture that complements the overall piece. I love the cavern created by covers and the abstract and organic shapes the fibers make.
